But representation still lags behind. LGBTQIA+ moms remain vastly underrepresented, especially in lead roles across film and TV. Every child deserves to see their family — and their future — in the stories we tell.

Most moms on TV are young, thin and white, and that doesn’t reflect real life. Our #RewritingMotherhood study with Moms First found that nearly 58% of moms with young children were white, while only 24% were Black, 9% Latina and 7% API.
