#RobSalad. 😂 Can we invent a Wittman translation bot?

An info graphic attempt to translate Rob Wittman (R- #VA01) proposed legislation into what the bill actually does to benefit his constituents. (Most often there is very little benefit, but he likes to make his poor rural voters think he is helping them, and he likes to make his country club donor class think they are helping poor people)

Wittmans actual newsletter email text:
“Friend,
I wanted to make sure you saw my column in the Virginian-Pilot/Daily Press about my recent visit to the Advanced Career Education Center at Hermitage High School in Henrico County. It's critical that we prioritize workforce development and continue to promote career and technical education (CTE) programs, which is why I introduced the Freedom to Invest in Tomorrow’s Workforce Act. This bipartisan legislation will help expand Virginians’ and Americans’ access to resources to pay for postsecondary credentialing and licensing programs, which will help students and professionals obtain and retain good-paying jobs that don’t require a traditional four-year degree.
You can read the full column here or below.”

The “Rob Salad” or “Wittman Word Salad” translation:

My Freedom to Invest in Tomorrow’s Workforce Act is yet another piece of meaningless floofy legislation meant to give you the impression that I actually care about education and to get some Dem colleagues on board so we can all can claim a little “bi-partisan” cred on our resumes.

This bill will benefit only people who can afford to lock money up in a 529 to save on state taxes. This will do nothing to support lower or middle income households, who already can’t fund 529s for expected college expenses.

Meanwhile, I fully support DOGE gutting the federal Department of Education. As a Republican representative who benefits from large corporate donations & the protections of my transnational crime syndicate bosses in the White House, I know the last thing our future corporate fiefdoms need is a well-educated proletariat.

Thank you. Excellent point.

I can always tell Wittman is trying make it look like he’s doing meaningful legislation, but upon closer inspection, it’s all fluff & just vehicles for him and random Dem colleagues to put “bi-partisan” cred on their resumes.
