Thank you to those who tried to share my #RocketRaccoonDay posts yesterday. I always wonder if there is more I could do. I've been trying to spread word of it for years. It shouldn't be my concern. But literally no one else seems to be aware, so it feels like it is on me as Raccoonatic Commander.

On this day, in 1976, writer Bill Mantlo & artist Keith Giffen introduced the world to Rocket Raccoon on the pages of a story in Marvel Preview 7. It was a sci-fi retelling of the Odyssey, Rocket was just a supporting character. Could've been one and done... 1/3
Well, Sunday is #RocketRaccoonDay, so I'll have to spend some time on the Marvel Heroes Tahiti server. (Not that I need an excuse to do that)
We already have Rocket Raccoon (whose 49th anniversary is on the 13th, incidentally #RocketRaccoonDay), so any other characters are just fun options to tag with him. Looking forward to seeing who is added - without the anxiety of worrying my favorite won't make it. That's a win-win.
Marvel Preview 7 released July 13th, 1976. The first appearance of Rocket Raccoon. As such July 13th is #RocketRaccoonDay. Almost here, but I have no plans. 49th isn't a big year. And Marvel has no official reps on Bluesky anymore, so who would I tag? (Looks like even Agent M stopped posting here)
