after a weekend of rest
park time, ocean time
cleaning and clearing
friend catchup
partner time

the days are growing shorter here
but warmer
and insistent
something is on its way

i hid under a blanket for a few hours
(Bear didn’t want me to leave)
and while i wanted to stay,
i got up and did my scheduled run
and ran my fastest mile

rest, don’t stop
