Staying in Searchmont, as town was abandoned so was train station. Service ended in 1994 but trains on Algoma Central continued to pass thru until 2014 when passenger service ended

About an hour north of Sault Ste. Marie in Searchmont ON, lies St. Hobart's Catholic Church.
Most of the community is a ghost town and the Church has been abandoned for decades.

By 2024, when these images were taken. The motel & out buildings had been set a flame at some point.
And by summer 2025 all that remained was the highway sign and some memories of a remote Northern Ontario motel.
