I presented with my @thegraduatecenter.bsky.social advisor in a #SASE2025 #NetworkA session this summer in Montreal. Great network, good folks, meaningful work. See their call for submissions for #SASE2026, to be held in Bordeaux, FR. Network A deadline is 12/12/25.

Earlier this July, I presented at the #SASE2025 conference. My presentation explored how the COP process functions not simply as a mechanism for policy coordination, but as a performance of meaning-making, where language, symbolism, and power intersect.

Quite simply a lot of valuable thinking across disciplines with rare discussions over very different research areas. Great @sasemeeting.bsky.social conference and a humbling experience in a good way! #SASE2025
Just returned from #SASE2025 in Montréal. A well-organized and wonderfully impressive conference. So many great discussions on sociological perspectives to change and learning, on democratic economies, and to real policy shifts underway, with huge amounts of interesting research now to digest.
I recently presented at the #SASE2025 Conference at the Palais des Congres de Montreal, one of two conferences I attended simultaneously in Montréal. The paper I presented was close to my heart, speaking to the failures of #COP29 through the lens of symbolic interactionism. @lhaecomms.bsky.social
Preciosa Montréal, terminamos una gran #SASE2025 que ha tenido discusiones muy interesantes en la network M en español.
Nos vemos el próximo año en Bordeaux!!!

Presented my research on bar parliaments today at #SASE2025 conference in Montreal, I feel more and more (or at least hope!) this can in some way help our understanding of how politics and democracy is learned and perceived among adults.
Too-quick trip to Montreal and #sase2025. Always love the former, really liked the latter! Will hopefully see yall again next year.

Hello Montreal! So glad to be joining @sasemeeting.bsky.social 2025 as part of a panel series on illegal markets organized by Matias Dewey & Gabriel Feltran! #SASE2025
This week at #SASE2025 I’m speaking about how inclusion and exclusion shape illegal wildlife markets. Succulents are just one example.
How do we build markets that centre justice, livelihoods, and ecological care?

In Montreal for @sasemeeting.bsky.social #sase2025 and interested in regulating corporations? I'll be presenting on Saturday AM on how even the most binding laws still leave too much power in managers' hands. Come say hi!
