He resigned amid backlash to comments President Kevin Roberts made defending Nick Fuentes’ interview with Tucker Carlson. Neuhaus is emblematic of the types of people who are advocating for this damaging bill. SB 76 would require local units of government to comply with federal detainer requests.The legislation would block government bodies and public universities from enacting any policies that limit cooperation with federal immigration authorities or laws.Senate Bill 76 would empower state AG Rokita to seek civil penalties of $10,000 per knowing and intentional violation by government bodies and public universities.Senate Bill 76 also takes aim at employers, banning them from knowingly or intentionally employing undocumented workers.Other provisions would eye immigrant use of social safety net programs.Contact your Indiana House Rep and tell them to vote NO on SB 76.
