This industry loves results. One way to predict that is to look at trends. If your idea touches that trend, you may get asked to compromise your idea to an unrecognizable point

Now just because I didn't sell it now doesn't mean it's dead. The biggest comment we got was "writing is great but [x]" Just not the right time.
Maybe it will be in a year or 5 or 10. But I made so many incredible connections that it is impossible to look at this as a failure. / 3

TIMING IS EVERYTHING
I met my rep through my award winning sci fi feature. I thought it was great. People told me as much. So when we took it out, the offers would come flooding in, right?
