The SGFD was proud to support the EBRSO Hazardous Devices Unit and the BRPD Explosive Unit during recent multi-agency training. On the final day, Squad 605 assisted with training on newly acquired extrication equipment, helping enhance capabilities for high-risk response. #SGFDproud

According to our friends at the NWS New Orleans, we will have critical fire conditions TOMORROW from 10am-6pm. This is due to a combination of wind and extremely dry weather. Please avoid open flames or sparks, keep vehicles off dry grass, and properly dispose of cigarettes!

How X Games Aspen kept it safe this past weekend at Buttermilk With a daily venue capacity of 10,000 people and 13 million people watching online, X Games Aspen saw an assemblage of nearly 20 local, state, and federal agencies to provide resources to the event in case of an emergency.

We always look forward to our annual visit from the Ember Alliance! Each December, they bring motivated learners for hands-on wildland fire training—from tools and hose work to shelter deployment and chainsaws. This year, they trained with our Station 60 crew. Can’t wait for next year!
