Felt like a massive weight came off Wrexham shoulders when Sam Smith scored. #SHWWRE #SkyBetChampionship

Sigh. Same old story. Holding our own, maybe more than that, but go behind to a sucker punch. And now not being able to score dooms us to a defeat. OR DOES IT? (Probably.)

As an aside: Josh celebrated that goal at least as much as most goals he scored for us.

Pretty much every time I've seen the #Owls this season, they've started brightly, then faded (either when going behind or when running out of legs). So far, this match seems to conforming to the pattern.

First game in the post-Bannan era. Feels weird. But it had to come sometime, so why not now? Relegation almost mathematically certain, and every match a chance for someone to step up and show their mettle.

An #owl, roughly but beautifully depicted, perching on a branch. It has ear tufts, and a slightly startled look on its face, as if it just heard a mysterious noise that needs a good staring at.

Three #miners work at the #coal face, the seam shining where their helmet-lamps are pointing, but dark elsewhere. One #coalminer is poking a long staff into one of three small holes that have been drilled into the wall. Each has what looks like lava streaming out, but I think it's actually wires attached to explosives - so this would be a particularly dangerous moment in an underground #pit life that was never not risky in some way or other. One #miner is looking intently at the poking, while the other is turning to face us. It's a striking image, and but for a few twists in history I could well have been one of these miners myself.
