An old red brick and tile-hung cottage on a steep lane near a village churchyard in Surrey. The front steps and the area in front of the small ground floor window are densely covered in plant pots with a variety of flowering blooms, including many Tulips of different colours plus Daffodils on the corner. The window box seems hard done by compared to the array of colour near the lane but it contains what appears to be Lavender. A lane to the right is in shadow but the fresh green leaves and white bark of a Silver Birch in the churchyard behind a wall are lit by the afternoon sun. Camera: iPhone 15 Pro.
When you don’t have a front garden but still
fancy appearing on the front cover of Quaint English Cottage Gardens magazine. Spotted in a neighbouring village yesterday. I just wonder how the postman delivers their mail.
