This downtown Springfield mural was painted over. Why it matters The Robert E. Smith-inspired mural at 400 W. Walnut St. in downtown Springfield was painted over with gray primer on Feb. 27.

The clueless new owner of this building painted OVER this historic mural. I just called the court house to complain. Absolute stupidity!

😭 On Monday, this girl's Mom died in a car wreck in #SWMO. Her Gma is taking care of her, but she has an injury that needs surgery - she's nearly chewed her own rear foot off (picture available 😢).
