67P taken from Rosetta, a duck shaped comet!

I'm beginning my next #SXPS288 project at @openuniversity.bsky.social. This week is all about the @esa.int #rosetta mission which carried an OU instrument, #ptolomy. Here's the target comet, 67P taken from the orbiter. 🧪🔭

Well #SXPS288 is going ok so far. Some #python programming, data analysis, a bit of group work, and I’m working on TMA01.

I’m enjoying the photometry and producing the colour magnitude diagrams and then interpreting them.

I almost feel like an actual scientist… 😳

Yeah, our #OpenUniversity students got control of our PIRATE remote telescope in Tenerife tonight but the weather was crap. Dome stayed closed :(
