A bright yellow bascule bridge (drawbridge, more or less) spans the Sacramento River just outside Isleton on California's Sacramento Delta. The water is unusually still and reflects the bridge and the late wintry sky's darkness.

Two very derelict-looking floating cranes — one yellow and relatively small, the other mostly red and much larger — are moored on the edge of Sevenmile Slough in the Sacramento Delta (the red crane, at least, has been here forever). Both cranes are listing noticeably under an early morning blue sky; the water is ruffled from a persistent wind. In the background some wetlands; in the hazy distance a barely-visible wind farm.
