book1 aka #SacrificeASpaceshipBook is terrible. I wrote this alone. Any change you see, any improvement rests squarely on others shoulder. @datchubbybtch.bsky.social

I releasing this free, once its cleaned up. Only because it contains little gems that come up in every book thereafter.

The contaminated air hit critical absorption and he saw then what he sees now.
The same creature stood over them, took one swipe at the girl with its upper arm, and tore her body apart like a bloody pinata. Her viscera slapped limply against the dirty bulkhead as the creature stood over the priest.
Instead of killing him, it spoke of the end times. It told him that it would destroy all that God had built, kill every living creature that The Lord had made across the cosmos in a glorious Xenocide using a tone that suggested the terrible act would please whatever damned ruler it served.
The priest then relived his attempt to scream, but no sound came out. He tried to run, but could not move. He again laid in anguish as this monster exquisitely tore at his extremities, methodically, and pulled his body apart until he let go his last breath and died.
The priest, released, remembered the real ending. He was found by a security detail, returned to the church, rehabilitated, and returned to The Order.

Oldie but goodie, I even got to reuse a couple paragraphs of this without fully rewriting them, since this was a flashback and had partly correct tense.
