Sage looks sheepish, responds, "Oh, those? Yeah, haha. Not my finest moments I suppose..." Lyna is curious and inquires further, "How... did you get hurt...? If I may ask, that is." Sage begins to explain, "I was a bit reckless before coming here. I felt burdened by duty and this was... an "outlet" after a fashion... the injuries were a consequence. Not that I was trying to get seriously injured, mind. It was just... a way to feel like my life was mine again. At leas, that's how I felt at the time."
Lyna begins to look guilty for asking, as something resembling guilt or regret washes across Sage's face. He says, "But don't worry about it! Please. I promise I've long since grown out of my recklessness! Besides... people need the Warrior of Darkness and-"
Sage is interrupted and surprised by the action of Lyna kissing one of the scars on his back.
Lyna lifts from Sage's back and says, "People need Sage too, you know..." Sage notices her efforts and cracks a smile, "Heh... just like I and many others need Lyna. Thank you." Lyna feels better at the reassurance and responds, "Flatterer~"
Sage had a bit of a reckless streak from SB to ShB, and earned some scars as a consequence
