Just a reminder that in #Sudan people are still dying, that #Uigurs are still being imprisoned in concentration camps, that the #Rohingya are still living in camps outside their own country as are the #Sahrawis. There is still a war going on against #Ukraine. A new war doesn't mean it's over.

One of my PhD students came into supervision with a 1955 #ethnography in which every other page contained additional maps and drawings. It’s THE classical study of the #Sahrawis and I was totally hyped to see such a remarkable artefact and for my student to study it.
