I do wonder if the epilogue that took place in Vatican is real vs imagined. In any case, #SanktMaik is lighthearted and ultimately heartwarming, a nice break from all the grim police procedurals 4/4
S3 #SanktMaik focuses too much on Uwe and Katja, & the annoying chaplain. While the plot is suspenseful, I'm disappointed that most of the ensemble casts were not featured, thus less of a village feel /community support. Esp in final episode we don't even see Ellen/Sven, Freddy, and barely Simone 3/
S2 of #SanktMaik is not my fav with the storyline of conning the diocese but this time it is Kevin's journey of self-discovery. I also like how all the village characters are involved. 2/
Finished watching all 3 seasons of #SanktMaik via #WalterPresents on @pbs.org passport.
S1 took at least 4 episodes before I warmed up to it; enjoyed seeing Maiki's self-discovery journey realizing there's good in this world
