Last December a part of the #SantaCruzPier broke off during a storm. A day later, on December 24, 2024, I took this picture of the public #bathroom that was once on the pier. The bathroom fell into the ocean and ran aground in the mouth of the #SanLorenozeRiver 1,500 meters away.

Officials closed Capitola Village coastal areas early Monday as the storm intensified so anyone thinking about going there over the next couple of days ... might wanna think about someplace else.
