We went to the @MuseumImmersive in Nihonbashi today for their Post-Impressionism installation and it was an utter delight to step into the paintings!
Van Gogh was our favourite and then we had ice lollies inspired by his work in the Cafe 💫🌻

I don’t feel like I’ve arrived until I’ve had tonkatsu to erase the travesties the UK tries to pass off as tonkatsu.
This at Tonkatsu Oribe was great, the cutlet being perfectly juicy and crisp, and exemplary ebi furai, but I missed having dressing for my cabbage.

This is actually part of one of the beautiful murals celebrating Osamu Tezuka in Takadanobaba, Tokyo - where Tezuka and his most famous creation Mighty Atom (known in the West as Astro Boy) were born.

Kids’ meals in Japan are generally amazing.
Ask for okosama-ranchi (お子様ランチ) or kidzu menyuu (キッズメニュー)
Even where they don’t have a separate menu, many places will automatically provide kids’ cutlery and crockery.

Tokyo Tower isn’t that close to any stations, but you do get to walk through the beautiful Zojoji Temple to get there, with its bittersweet jizo statues www.atlasobscura.com/places/garden-of-unborn-...

Also, you can buy postcards and stamps at the top of Tokyo Tower and post them in a special letterbox.
(At this rate, our postcard will get to the UK before we do)
An international stamp is only ¥71 which is about 55p.
