Well, a full and lovely day seeing family, playing great sets of music with the #SchoolOfHonk in Salem MA, and then seeing “A Chorus Line” back in New Haven was marred only by getting ?shot by a beebeegun? 😬 walking back to car. (I’m ok. Overall day still a win.)

Took a lovely impromptu day trip to Boston to play music & dance with #SchoolofHonk (a much needed respite from worrying about world) (we wear polka dots!) and on the way back to CT, realized the people at rest stop probably had questions about my outfit 😂

Things I learned during a day of family time + #SchoolOfHonk parade:
- my French is VERY rusty
- my trombone skills are approaching pre-pandemic levels
- polka dots in French is “pois”
- my 7 yo niece is better then me at Spelling Bee & also um ??teenager-like sass happens at 7?!

During residency, I needed a rewarding goal unrelated to medicine, & decided to learn a new instrument. In early 2020, proud of my progress on trombone, I bought myself one! Then… pandemic. Today was my first day back playing it with #SchoolOfHonk!
