If you have ever wanted to learn to use a sewing machine, volunteers at the Capitol Hill tool library will teach you how, for free! Come to this meetup on Saturday with Sustainable Capitol Hill: meetu.ps/e/PFPhr/1Qrr...

Oh no

A white person with short dark curly hair, glasses, and a nose ring smirks at the camera. They are wearing a rumpled light blue short-sleeved collared shirt with white buttons. A block print showing blue and black waves hangs on the wall behind them.
Another day, another minimum effort #MeMadeMay post. Love me a short-sleeve button-up.

Another #memademay addition that it is magically cool enough to get to wear for the first time! A cropped version of the light weight Elliot sweater pattern by @helenscloset.bsky.social I sewed up way too late for the cold. #seattlesews #sewqueer
A white person with short dark hair and glasses looks at the camera. They are wearing a short sleeve button-up shirt made from a woven rayon fabric, patterned with watercolor foliage and flowers in greens, pinks, and blues. They have a skeptical expression.
This is how much energy I have for #MeMadeMay this year. Not much. I make no promises. But I did make this shirt and I'm looking forward to seeing more fun makes in the feed this month!

A woman with brown hair in a bob cut wearing a black casual twill jacket, jeans, and a teal top.
In The Folds Ormond Coat: I swapped the patch pockets for welt pockets and made quite a few alterations for fit. A couple of firsts for me - flat felled seams and welt pockets. A bit big, but happy overall. Fabric: Twill from Josephine's Dry Goods in Portland.

a large piece of gold fabric draped over a couch
I got six yards of gold ponte at Joann for $23(!) for muslining the Hey June Evans Blazer. If I end up with a wearable one, I'll be super groovin'.

Made my first bag in about 15 years. This is the Noodlehead Range Backpack in waxed canvas. #seattlesews
Depths of winter make: cozy sweatshirt from a Frankenpattern. Maybe if the dinosaurs had sweatshirts they wouldn't have gone extinct?? #SeattleSews #GarmentSewing
Haley Marie wearing a pair of wide flowy secret pants she made that are black with tiny embroidered beaded lizards on them
First post over here, I made these pants out of some really cute fabric I got second hand, they feature embroidered lizards that look like the beaded keychains I made as a kid. The pattern is vintage Vogue 7909 and I’m obsessed #garmentsewing #seattlesews #sewing #vintagesewing
A meet up with our little #seattlesews community tonight was the perfect antidote to this day (week) and a good reminder that just because things are bleaker doesn’t mean we need to live in darkness.
Haven’t cleaned or really used my sewing space since September when my mother passed away. Putting this out for commiseration and accountability. Wish me luck! #sewing #seattlesews #sewingroom #clearout #organizing
