This fantastic mainly roadside line still carried a good variety of freight back in 1987. The line is still there and has an hourly passenger service.

Back in the 80s as well as the regular hourly passenger trains there were odd little movements like this and it was odd seeing these big powerful electrics barrelling down the roadside track!

This line runs for 40km, much of it running at the side of the road. In the eighties it used loco hauled trains with a fair bit of freight. The line’s still there using tram type trains.
