🕊️ RCMP say the investigation continues into a fatal dog attack in #Welshtown, Shelburne County. The incident occurred Jan. 3 and involved three large-breed dogs. Police continue to gather evidence and are asking anyone with information to contact RCMP.

RCMP investigating fatal fire in West Head Shelburne RCMP Detachment, supported by Nova Scotia Office of the Fire Marshal and the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service, is investigating a fatal house fire that occurred in West Head. On June 15, at approximately 1:35 a.m., RCMP officers and fire services responded to a report of an active structure fire on West Head Rd. Upon arrival at the scene, first responders found a residence fully engulfed in flames. The lone occupant of the home, a 74-year-old man, was pronounced deceased at the scene. A dog that lived with the man was also found deceased inside the home.

A 74-year-old man and his dog died in a house fire in West Head, N.S., early June 15. RCMP say the cause of the fire is not considered suspicious, but the investigation continues.
