Dainichi Nyorai, also known as the Great Sun Buddha or Mahavairocana, is the central deity of Shingon Buddhism and East Asian Esoteric Buddhism. He is considered the supreme, primordial Buddha from whom the universe emanates, embodying wisdom, light, and the union of the spiritual and material realms. Dainichi is often depicted with the "wisdom fist" mudra, where the left index finger is clasped by the right hand, symbolizing the harmony of these two realms.
