#shoebox review: We need more events like this. And I can not wait for its second year. This convention was fun, low stress, and welcoming. I got to talk to many existing friends, meet online friends, sow the seeds of new friendships. Other than the uncontrollable weather it was a wonderful time 1/2

without incentives but this is another reminder of a terrific event.

Thank you to so many people! I didn't get as many photos as I wanted but #shoebox was an absolute blast with so many amazing people.The MTG community always reminds me that the gathering is my favorite part! The weather is insane all along the Northern Midwest.

RUG draft of 100 Ornithopters, featuring 3 different thopter wipes, Aetherspark, and the legendary defaced Klug thopter.

#shoebox day 3: drafted 100 Ornithopters, which was incredible even though I was worried all the hype around it wasn't something it could live up to! Did RUG control stuff with burst damage finish and it was lovely, ending up 2-1 after going too conservative with the lethal Berserk.

Got home last night and immediately melted into bed surrounded by loved ones and food. While I am incredibly disappointed that I had to leave early, I do think it was the right decision.
