“Can you talk a little bit more about the following that you’ve developed called the #Shoupistas? And can you tell me a little bit more about how that’s developed and how you’ve seen progress in the movement of parking and transportation because of this group?”

Among planners, Bill Fulton is probably best known as the author of the Guide to California Planning. But to #Shoupistas, his greatest accomplishment is the work he did as mayor of #Ventura to create and defend one of America’s first parking benefit districts. It’s been a model for so many.

The planning world lost a great person this week. Donald Shoup was a big influence on me and his book "The High Cost of Free Parking" is one of the most influencial planning related books. RIP Prof. Shoup #shoupistas
