When I see job ads that don’t #ShowTheSalary, I comment ~ “Looks like a great job. I’d love to share it with my network. Can salary range be added to the job ad?”
That’s pretty gentle (it’s sometimes more 🌶️).
Not everyone will feel OK doing that — but those of us with privilege can and should.
Five years ago, it would have been tricky to find 20 jobs in conservation that #ShowTheSalary. Today I can do it easily, and compensation is going up across the board.
Advocacy works, inside & out! Don’t stop nudging the holdouts.

Just like we used to tepidly ask #ShowTheSalary (🤣) except now it’s:
“Wow, sounds like a great job! I’d love to share with my network. Is your organization considering a four-day work week? That would be a big incentive for talented applicants.”

Most #ConservationJobs ads I see these days include salary range. Many are WFH or hybrid; some describe benefits; a few compensate interviewees for time.
