voodoocactus's review of Your Wish Is My Command 4/5: I really liked the art style and the way humor and deeper, more serious topics alternated. Aziza’s story made me so mad and frankly, Nour was one of the best descriptions about depression I’ve seen in a while. Shokry was both entertaining and so human in his contemplations. And, look, a speaking donkey?! The best thing ever! The “official” bits about wish regulation were interesting and, obviously, colonialism and social inequity influenced everything. The queer representation is very very subtle and frankly, I did miss it (or more like I didn’t pay it any mind) because I got so caught up...
