A set of drawings of Hornet from Hollow Knight Silksong.
In the main drawing she is standing calmly, holding her cloak slung across one arm. Her body is more detailed than the original art style, drawn segmented with some ornamental spikes. Her feet have two claws each while her hands have three. She has a spider-like abdomen with a row of small spikes on the sides. There are notes around her; one reads: "Shiny & smooth shell; unnaturally so for a fighter. One would expect more scuffs on anything but a freshly molted bug." The second one reads: "Her "mask" is part of her head; pure white, inherited from the Wyrm."
Next to her is her needle, drawn vertically for scale. It reaches up to her shoulder.
To the left and up she is in the same pose, except in the original art style; it is a recreation of the sprite of Hornet holding her cloak.
To the right is her head drawn twice, one angry and one smiling. The angry one has her pedipalps flared out and fangs bared, while the smiling one only has a very faint line showing where the pedipalps lay. A note between the two reads: "Pedipalps; flare out as a threat display, otherwise lay flush with the rest of the head, nearly invisible & covering fangs."
The background is a dusty pink parchment texture.
A set of drawings of the Knight from Hollow Knight. In the main drawing they are standing calmly, tilting their head and holding a claw to their face in thought. Their body is more detailed than the original art style, drawn with visible segments. Their legs fork into two small, blunt spikes in place of feet. Under the cloak they have a purplish grey strap across their chest. Next to them is drawn the pure nail for scale.
There are notes around them. One, next to their head, reads: "Pure white mask, pitch black shell." Another, next to their torso, reads: "Built like an underfed child." Another, on the other side of their body, reads: "'Cloak' is part of their body - vestigial wings, forms two separate sections." Another, next to their legs, reads: "Thin legs with two pseudoclaws for traction; no developed feet (Root genes.) (Also the reason they can't sprint like Hornet.)"
To the right is a backshot of the Knight, focusing on how the nail sits in its holster, which pokes out between the cloak sections. Between this drawing and the main drawing is a note that reads: "Back holster for nail; the strap also holds charm notches and a storage pouch."
Under this drawing is a closeup on the Knight's hand; its proportions could be compared to a toddler. Next to it is a note that reads: "Teeny tiny baby claws."
The background is a desaturated blue parchment texture.
A set of drawings of the Hollow Knight. The main drawing is a fullbody shot of them standing still, slightly hunched forward. Their eyes are black, free of the infection; their face is cracked above the left eye and they are missing their right arm including the shoulder. Their cloak is dark grey and the left half is about double the length of the right half. They carry their nail across their back.
The drawing is surrounded by a number of written notes; going roughly top to bottom, they read: "Head almost always tilted to the side." "Back holster to free up the hand." "Posture of a shrimp." "Mantle grew in asymmetrically after the loss of an arm; faded back to the original color (not the Pure Vessel version due to Pale King being out of the picture.)" and "Long-ass limbs."
Hornet and the Knight are standing on each side of the Hollow Knight to show scale; including horns, Hornet reaches to their hip and the Knight just above their knee.
Their weapon is drawn separately to the side; it reaches up to their shoulder and is labeled "Greatnail got reforged."
In the top left corner is a halfbody drawing of them lifting the right side of their cloak to show the scarred half of their body, as well as the missing shoulder. The scars are a little lighter than the pitch black of the rest of their body. The drawing features notes reading: "Shoulder too damaged for limb regrowth; occasionally sprouts void tendrils in its place (like the Pure Vessel attack.)" "Mask crack is sealed, but still prominent." "Half of the torso is just one big scar, courtesy of the infection."
The background is a light grey parchment texture.
My designs for the Wyrm's offspring - well, at least the most important ones lol
