$Dark screenshot of Doom 2 (running Dsytopia II WAD) under the Blessed Engine which I co-wrote with my brother, and modified to make it kind-of support Doom 2. In this screenshot, a Pain Elemental - which usually spits out Lost Souls - has spat out one of the energy mines which the plasma rifle now fires. These continually explode, typically irradiating the Pain Elemental to death but still leaving a horrible mess until the mine finally burns out. It turns out that when the Pain Elemental spawns a new mine, there's a fraction of a second before it starts irradiating everything nearby with the explosion damage, and during this moment it is possible to punch the mine and send it across the room and out of the way. I made this mod, and didn't realise it was possible to do that for over 27 years.$

I've been playing Doom 2 with a modified Blessed Engine for over 27 years, and only just now did I realise that when a Pain Elemental spits out an energy mine, you can actually punch the mine away from you for a split second before it activates and roasts you (and the pain elemental) #SkyMayBe
