I love the successional trumpet lichen.

A Juniper Haircap moss, Polytrichum juniperinum. Fun fact, found on every continent including Antarctica. This one may look likely but they had plenty of family nearby. A field of moss, so to speak.

More trumpet lichen with growths starting on the rim of their trumpets.

Pacific Banana slug all scrunched up and napping in the duff. I left them be, get your nap on little buddy.

Bonus evening stroll today resulted in some shots of mainly lichen, moss and a snoozing Pacific Banana Slug.
