EFFAT Agricultural President Fabrizio De Pascale met in with unions from the three countries to discuss the CAP’s social conditionality and its post-2027 reform.
from CZ, SK,and HU all agreed:on the need to defend and pursue a stronger #SocialConditionality across Europe.
Last week @europarl.europa.eu voted for better public procurement rules: a step forward, but we warn that binding #SocialConditionality must be the guiding principle of the upcoming revision so that public money stops fuelling the current race to the bottom.

🚨 A new day for CAP? Not quite yet…
While #SocialConditionality is safeguarded – but rebranded as “farm stewardship” – it brings no further social progress.
⚠️ Small farms exempt from checks
⚠️ Weaker enforcement
⚠️ No new protections for workers
⚠️ Another budget cut

❌ Excluding #SocialConditionality from CAP crisis funds is not simplification—it’s deregulation and a threat to workers' rights.
📢 EFFAT says: do not water down the social dimension of the #CAP! No crisis should excuse exploitation.

#SocialConditionality and competitiveness must go hand in hand.
Fully in line with Enrico Letta's intervention today before the
European Parliament, where he emphasized the importance of this balance addressing the #PublicProcurement Directive.
