In Term 2, Ms. Cox and Ms. Osborne’s #RegenerativeGardeningClub learnt how to grow roses from cuttings with Cheryl Pappas. Students got stuck in and worked through each step with care. Now we wait and see what grows at #SomersfieldAcademy

Our #IB M5 Biology students got hands-on with cell division, using marshmallows to model meiosis and bring key terminology to life. Each creation even received its own “birth certificate”—a fun way to make complex concepts tangible and memorable. #SomersfieldAcademy

Our IB M1 students got hands-on with oobleck, exploring how this strange non-Newtonian fluid behaves. Experiments like this make science fun and help them really understand how concepts work in real life.

#SomersfieldAcademy students & staff are taking part in the #BermudaSloopFoundation Pirates Fundraiser, aiming to raise $60,000 for M3 voyages aboard #SpiritOfBermuda. Supporting growth, teamwork & real-world learning—values at the heart of our school.

#SomersfieldAcademy riders had a strong showing in the #FattireMassive #MTB Series. Austen Carr led the way, winning the 9–12 Male division. Great results across the board from our students, alumnus Gordon Smith '25, and former students Jackson Langley and Elena Bortoli.

#SomersfieldAcademy #MiddleSchool boys scores a season-high 32 points to defeat Sandys 32–16 at home! Mathis & James C led with 10 each, Hugo added 8, and James B 4. Tough game, strong team effort—their record improves to 3–1!

Thank you to the #BELCO team for a special visit with #SomersfieldAcademy Lower Primary students. As we look ahead to the #GoodFriday holiday, students learned about kite safety, how BELCO workers carry out their jobs safely, and enjoyed a visit from the BELCO bird.
