I found this out by complete accident but turns out that in SomnaBuster if you pause the game just as you start the level and then resume you can start moving before the in-game timer starts, this has big potential for speedrunning

I tried to beat developer time (1:15.3) and managed to pull a time of 1:11.8 in SomnaBuster's Level 1-2! I'm not a speedrunner by any means (There is still a lot of room for improvement) but I really wanted to give it a try with this game!

The pixel art has a messy look that resembles a hand drawn look. It's difficult for me to make a good emulation of such a unique art style. I love the look of these characters, and they look even more wonderful in game as they wiggle and wobble.
