#SonyVaio support finally sending my cord. Via USPS, which they recommended against. At this point I suspect it's just someone's specific CYA because they've screwed up so many times. I'm so tired.

Every single step of this has been like pulling teeth without anesthetic. Thing is, it's not even a bad laptop! The HDMI issue was annoying, but it wasn't anything that shouldn't have been easily fixed. The laptop's fine. #SonyVaio Tech Support is why I'm never buying a Vaio again.

Beware #SonyVaio technical support. My laptop had an issue with HD sound and they wanted it shipped. Overkill but okay. It was shipped Nov 15. $70 worth of ouch. Since then they:
1) Claimed it was fine. Sent a video of the laptop playing sound through an HDMI cord... that played before it connected.
