Gird-i-Dasht: Excavations at an important hub of the Fertile Crescent Successful collaboration between Soran University and the ROOTS Cluster of Excellence enters its fifth year.

For five years, ROOTS, the @unistavanger.bsky.social and the SRC of the #SoranUniversity have been jointly investigating the develpment of the Delzian Plain (now in the #KurdistanRegion of Iraq) 5000 to 8000 years ago. The team is currently carrying out excavations again. 👇
