Coworker designed and 3D-printed some brackets to offset the visor from the helmet body. I am tickled with how well they turned out!

Now I can conceal the gap with duckcloth to sell the illusion and keep it lightweight to boot. #SpacePuppy

Got electronics working for the helmet! Modular, easy to extend as needed. Half the setup will be concealed in the chest console. #SpacePuppy

A pair of pla plates, with LEDs sourced from cheap flashlights hot-glued on. They have several red and black wires soldered onto their contacts with a 220-ohm resistor on the positive of two of the LEDs, plus a slapdash of electrical tape.

A bit of soldering for the helmet’s electronics. Parts work but I’m waiting for a more experienced tinker to look at my mess and go “what? N-no!” and make me rip it apart and redo it properly. #SpacePuppy

A bit messy but it’s coming along. V1’s snoot still hits the visor on a test fit, so I might separate it again and just hang it off the duckcloth cover for a wider, if free-hanging offset. #SpacePuppy
