Dramatic Rescue on I-10 Byway on Tuesday Spanish Fort, AL (BuzzReport) - A harrowing incident unfolded on the I-10 Bayway early today, leaving one man shaken but alive. At approximately 8 a.m., Spanish Fort Fire and Rescue received a distress call about a vehicle collision on the westbound lanes of the Bayway. Upon arrival, firefighters found the driver submerged in waist-to-chest-deep water, having apparently jumped from his vehicle after colliding with the side of the Bayway.
