This is quite a delicate drawing of the the river that comes from Saint Anthony's Well in the forest of Dean . There is a pathway up on the left, but mainly the sketch is depicting the water and the trees on the river bank. There is a stream coming down from the left-hand side into the river. This stream was a fresh water spring that was pouring straight out of the ground. The river that it's going into is from another spring that is known as saint Anthonys well. Its special place.
