I looked it up in New Flora of the British Isles Ed. 4 by Clive Stace aka #Stace4. At best there are line drawings otherwise text and keys, very good for fine details.

First leaves emerging of Native Black Poplar, Populus nigra betulifolia. An emerging leaf with margin 'serrate with many small teeth' and 'sparsely hairy' (at least) as Stace 4 says. ✅
