Kaladin’s wounds healing in chapter 38 reminds me of Feruchemical gold healing. Though I find this an interesting contrast to Szeth’s healing, which iirc wasn’t immediate. Szeth’s healing wasn’t regenerative iirc so it reminded me of Pewterarm healing.

Looks like Teft knows what he is. A group called the Envisagers were mentioned. Guessing they’re an organization who knew about the Knights Radiant and Surgebinders, and anticipated their return. Guessing that Teft wiped them out.

The slaves have been brought to the Shattered Plains, where the ten armies are camped. Kaladin hopes he can rediscovery the will to fight here. I’m already loving the tone of his chapters. He’s obviously been through a lot of trauma.

It seems Roshar has many gods. The ten Heralds, Stormfather, and the Almighty.

Wasn’t expecting Kaladin Stormblessed to be a military commander. It appears he’s caught in a military campaign, but less important than the war between the Alethi and the Parshendi. I wonder how the Alethi discovered the Parshendi were responsible for Gavilar’s murder

Chapter 1 is BRUTAL! From it being the POV of an inexperienced and terrified child soldier, to the sky filled with arrows, to the dismal tone of it all. To the brutality of Kaladin using the spear and knives.
