A view of the Stiklestad area. The stone church from year 1100 is seen in the distance. It is a lush green landscape with old wooden buildings, trees, and a path leading towards the church. The sun is breaking through grey clouds and gives a golden touch to the scene.
A building build of timber “Viking style” with grass on the roof. Golden sun, green grass and a three branch with yellow leaves.
The sunlit main entrance of a typical Viking longhouse with carvings around the door.
On each of the longhouse roof is a dragon head. The picture shows the upper part of one end with a dragon head accompanied with a nearby tree with yellow leaves and red berries.
We drove to #Stiklestad today, a 90 minutes drive north from Trondheim. It is a historical site where #StOlav fell in the year 1030. My parents in law love to visit this national heritage site and have lunch. For once these days the weather was kind. #Stiklestadir
