I was bringing up these #GöbekliTepe fragments in particular since they illustrate why finding complete vessels is comparably rare: the material was too valuable to not re-use it.

Well known and clearly associated with #PrePotteryNeolithic contexts are e.g. #StoneVessels from different places like #KörtikTepe in Turkey or #JerfElAhmar and #TellAbr in Syria as well as (often fragmented though) many more related sites (Göbekli Tepe for instance being one of those).

Well known and clearly associated with #PrePotteryNeolithic contexts are e.g. #StoneVessels from different places like #KörtikTepe in Turkey or #JerfElAhmar and #TellAbr in Syria as well as (often fragmented though) many more related sites (including Göbekli Tepe by the way).

Summing up extensive research led by @laura_dtrich on context and in particular use of the manifold #Neolithic #StoneTools and #StoneVessels found at #GobekliTepe, including some pretty wild #experiments in terms of #grinding, #cooking, and, yes, #brewing.

Well, of course these #Neolithic hunters also had other means of containers - both, from organic material like e.g. bark or hide - as well as a variety of (pretty fine and impressing) #StoneVessels for instance:
