Second of the big windows installed. This one is called the "sheep window", because it looks towards the land of a neighbour who keeps sheep. The small window is designed for small children to look out of, and just at present it is leaning outwards a little. We *may* correct this! The whole space is really untidy, and there are tools and straw everywhere, but this isn't surprising given the speed we've been working.
Interior of the roundhouse looking towards the "horse window" – which looks towards the land of a neighbour who keeps horses. The bale wall is complete on both sides of the window.
Wide angle shot of the interior of the roundhouse looking from the horse window towards the sheep window and back door. The bale wall is complete, but not yet rendered (and it probably won't be until spring). The centre of the room is dominated with a stack of surplus bales, which I may have slightly overbought!
#roundhouse and we have walls! The gaps above the big windows need filling, the straw needs to be tidied up in places, but substantially the bale wall is complete – two days ahead of schedule.
