Photo: A tourist rests an arm on the open starboard side window of a "streetcar" on pneumatic tires and not on tracks on the main drag of Samuel Clemens' home town. The streetcar is red on the bottom and dark green on top. Branches from a tree at the corner seem to overhang the streetcar with green leaves. Also on the corner in the lower left quadrant of the frame, a fireplug has been painted to look like an old timey fireman. Between the fireplug and the streetcar, a late model black Chevrolet humongo pickup truck is parked. The building on the opposite corner, behind the streetcar, is beige. Its second story tall, narrow windows are arched. A mural peeks into the frame to remind visitors that this was the town where Huck Finn and Tom Sawyer and Becky Thatcher began their adventures. When I fed Zoltar, who lives in a glass box just inside one of the stores (not shown) some coins, he printed a little yellow card that told me, "your friends admire how dependable you are." You are welcome. Zoltar also told me that when I am "approached with opportunities that do not align with what [I am] familiar with, [I] often turn them down out of fear" and that I am "hindering [my] personal growth" when I do that. Fuck you, Zoltar. Just sayin'. Hannibal, Missouri September 2023 OM-1: ƒ/6.3, 1/800, 90mm, ISO400
