Also, we found unusual genomic changes in ancient nutritional endosymbionts Sulcia and Vidania. #Sulcia genome experienced multiple rearrangements and fragmentation. #Vidania lost many genes, resulting in the smallest stand-alone bacterial genome described so far - at 109 kb.
