Calling the Force.com REST API from Visualforce Pages, Revisited Longtime readers may remember the series of posts I wrote in early 2011 on calling the Force.com REST API from JavaScript running on Visualforce, off-platform web pages, and PhoneGap hybrid apps. Those posts spawned the Force.com JavaScript REST Toolkit (in particular, forcetk.js), which, in turn, became part of the Salesforce Mobile SDK.

In Visualforce #summer13, you no longer need to use the Ajax Proxy to hit the @ForceDotCom REST API. Check it out: blogs.developerforce.com/developer-relations/2013...

Apex Test Code Segregation Starting with the Summer ’13 release of the platform, Apex test methods need to be created in test classes.  (A “test class” is one marked with the @isTest annotation.)  Test methods will no longer be able to compile in the same class as your regular executable code.

Essential reading on Apex Test Code Segregation in #Summer13 from @JoshSfdc blogs.developerforce.com/engineering/2013/04/apex... @ForceDotCom
