I am missing #SundayMorningBookChat from @slatterymr.bsky.social but I also have a question for the #KidLit community arising from the last book I read. It seems hard to write a really strong children’s book told fully in first person (from a single character). Hit me up with any stellar examples!
Absolutely. Although, it’s getting late for it, I am still hoping for a #SundayMorningBookChat from @slatterymr.bsky.social!

I’m not a teacher (though I did work as a TA for a few years). Right now I think we need to be getting kids reading texts that help build empathy and kindness, and texts that encourage kids to question and think for themselves. #SundayMorningBookChat #UKKidLit #KidLitUK #KidLit
Not a teacher but if I was, I'd teach KS2/early KS3 this book, as a way to explore how fantasy stories intersect with politics, and how magic systems reflect the real world of politics. (Look, I'd be an ambitious-for-my-students KS2 teachers) www.penguin.co.uk/books/448380... #SundayMorningBookChat
