(Book cover) Title: Bewitched by a Vampire, Immortal Hearts of San Francisco Author: Susan Griscom
(Book review, 1/2) Vamps and Magic This isn't the beginning of Lane DeMarco and Vanessa Creamer's relationship. This enters after they've been together for a couple of years. I didn't need to read the prior books, but it may have changed my overall enjoyment if I had. For me this was a good and entertaining book. Perhaps the kind I'd rather watch on TV than read. I won't seek out the other books in the series, but I also won't turn them away if they land in my library. I can't tell you the last time I read a vampire book. This pick was part of a blind scroll through my library (something that encourages me to stray outside of my comfort zone). โYou donโt own me,โ I repeated. โIโm not a piece of furniture or property. I have rights. I have interests that donโt always involve you.โ -- Vanessa Creamer
(Book review, 2/2) This spans a couple of years, and that's before the epilogue. A lot happens in the plots of time we see, but it feels like there isn't much time to actually catch a breath. I do like the twist, the unexpected gifts, and the conclusion to a prior torment that reappears. I really don't want to say much more than that for those that have been reading the series. I listened to the audio book. The narrators, Gracia Gillund and John York, are really good. I do wish this was done in duet, though. Story: 3 stars Narration: 4 stars Listening Speed: 1.8x

#Witches & #vampires really aren't my preferred genre, so keep that in mind.
